My third Post

Day 3: 15 Mar 2026

Now I want to start writing about my process of starting to learn crocheting.
But I feel that creating a new html page for each blog post and adding a 100 “
” s would be redundant,
so I’m checking how to create my own blog site.

Initially considered using Wordpress, Medium which I’ve used before, or Substack which I believe has a
good subscription model. But I think I want something like hosting my own site rather than depending on
a platform which might or might not exist tomorrow

Now, let’s see how this goes <3

Currently I’m looking up a YT video on how to use Jekyll with Github pages:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6AJ9qPPoyc

Found out that you can use Jekyll pages to do what I want to do, saw 3 themes: Clean Blog, Centrarium
and Contrast which I liked from jekyllthemes.io and liked “Contrast” Jekyll theme the most.

Okay, it’s almost midnight and I just need to wrap it up for today, so going to call it a day.
Will try to install Ruby tomorrow, never thought there be so many issues to just install it!

Also meanwhile, planning to write my blogs in word docs till I can figure out the Jekyll thing.

See you in the next blog ! <3 <3 <3
